Run for charity

Why not run one of our great events and raise money for charity at the same time?

There are two ways that you can raise money for your favourite charity.

Golden Charities

Golden Charity Entries are very limited special entries in the 12k Traverse, Barfoot and Thompson Half and ASB Full marathon allocated to a small number of carefully selected charities. If you sign up for one of these places for the 2016 event you'll need to raise a pre-agreed amount of money for the charity that you run for. This will be set by the individual charities, but will be around $1500 for the half marathon and $2000 for the full marathon. On race day you will wear a special gold bib, which will mark you out as one of a select group of runners pioneering our focus on charity fundraising.

The Golden Charity Program is now closed for 2016, however you can still support a charity when purchasing your own entry in the event.

General Entries

Once general entries are open you can choose to support one of the charities that are looking for fundraisers. You will see a list of great charities that you could fundraise for during the registration process and make an enquiry to the organisation you'd be interested in supporting. They’ll get back to you with all the information you need to join their team, and let you know about the great perks you’ll receive as a charity runner.
