adidas Running Clinics
As sponsor of the adidas Auckland Marathon, we want you to cross the finish line in the best shape possible. We are offering all 2010 participants the chance to attend a series of free workshops and seminars that will coach you on everything you need to know, from structuring a training programme and setting a pace on the big day to nutrition and how to prevent those annoying injuries.
The programme is led by the Auckland University of Technology (AUT) Running Mechanics Clinic, who are the national pace-setters in the science of running, with internationally recognised expertise in running biomechanics. You won't get better guidance anywhere in the country. The staff are some of the highest-qualified sports physiotherapists and sport scientists around and regularly work with elite athletes as well as recreational sportspeople - basically anyone who wants to improve their performance and staying power!
All our workshops and seminars are designed to help beginners, intermediate and advanced runners. Whether you need to know how to get started or how to really crank up your pace to challenge the leaders, you'll get expert advice to help you achieve your running goals.
All classes will be held at AUT's North Shore Campus, beginning on 17th July, and have been developed to lead you through your build-up to the event on 31st October.
Though the classes are free, numbers are limited so get organised now. It's all about helping you step over that starting line with confidence - and get to the finishing line in a time you can be proud of.
