Event Day Setup of Victoria Park

Victoria Park is the location of our Finish Venue, Corporate Village and 'Picnic in the Park' and will be set up to accommodate all participants and supporters from individuals and families to corporate groups. Entertainment is an important factor in the layout of tents/marquees/stage/kids play area etc.

Teams have the opportunity to create their own team 'lounge' within the Village and enjoy the entertainment on stage throughout the day. Opt to erect your own marquee or take advantage of the Site & Marquee options we have available. Corporate package offer (catering, beverages, equipment hire, etc) are also available.

Event Day Entertainment

Entertainment will be provided on event day at Victoria Park for the official 'Picnic in the Park'. Participants, friends and family can enjoy the live music and on stage entertainment while celebrating your day of achievement in Auckland City.

Concert

There will be live music provided to all participants and supporters free of charge. Easy listening bands will play on stage in the Event Village from approx 8:00am.

Unitec Institute of Technology is proud to be a sponsor of the adidas Auckland Marathon

In 2010, Unitec's Department of Osteopathy provided participants with free osteopathic assessments and treatments post-marathon to resolve many of the aches and pains that come with improving your fitness.

We will be there again to help participants identify some of the physical restrictions that may be slowing them down. While we can only resolve the pain through sports rehabilitation techniques on the day, we can follow up with comprehensive assessment and advice from our clinical facility at Mt Albert campus on Carrington Road (Clinic 41).

This year our Department of Sport will also be onsite to provide sport and exercise science support and expertise, specifically providing an information source to the numerous competitors taking part, but also resolving their aches and pains through a number of different sports rehabilitation techniques.

Staff and senior students will be at Victoria Park on the day to inform and advise about areas such as exercise physiology, sport psychology, biomechanics, nutrition, and exercise prescription, and their relationship to performance.

New Zealand College of Chiropractic

Interns from the New Zealand College of Chiropractic will be available to perform free spine and health checks for participants and spectators of this year's adidas Auckland Marathon. The free checks will give you an idea if chiropractic care might be a healthy choice for you as part of your general health care. To get checked by one of our interns come and see us in our tent at the recovery area.

Event Massage

As the exclusive massage provider for 2011, Event Massage will assist you in making a full recovery. The team of 40 professional and experienced therapists will be available in the recovery area of Victoria Park on event day to treat post event soreness. Event Massage will provide 10min, 20min and 30min massages at low prices.

Food and beverages will be on sale on event day at Victoria Park. After completing your chosen event, you can enjoy a well deserved snack or meal with friends and family from one of the food vendors on site.

Coffee Guy
The Coffee Guy has been delivering a quality brew for runners and supporters of the adidas Auckland Marathon since 2006. This year there will be seven franchisees strategically placed around the event to conveniently supply everyone their coffee fix! M & L Food for Pleasure is happy to provide delicious goods at the adidas Auckland Marathon. Our menu includes 100% cholesterol free Hot Chips, Freshly Battered Hot Dogs, Steak/Egg and onion Rolls, American Hotdogs, Mussel Fritters, Whitebait Fritters and Cold Drinks, at very affordable prices. We use Rice Bran Oil for all cooking which is considered to be the healthiest oil for deep frying and taste good too.

Fritz's Wieners is proud to bring to the adidas Auckland Marathon our famous German style “Hot Dogs”. Unlike American Hot Dogs which are boiled, at Fritz's we barbeque our sausages on purpose built equipment which cooks them to perfection and allows them to maintain all original flavours. We sell a choice of Sausage, Frankfurter, Spicy Bratwurst, Smoked Bratwurst and our New Moroccan Lamb. All served in a freshly baked baguette with a choice of saurcraut, onions and sauces.
